Huzhva Ihor

Mr. Ihor Huzhva graduated from Economics Department, Donetsk State University. His first journalistic experience was in «Vesty» (News) regional newspaper. He worked in regional editorial offices of such popular editions as «Donetskii Kryazh» (Donetsk ridge) and «Salon of Don and Bas» (headed the Department of Business and Finance actively supporting and covering the topic of consumer protection against lawlessness of regulatory authorities). Over the time, thanks to his personal contribution the newspaper «Salon of Don and Bas» had grown into the first Ukrainian publication of European style and had considerably expanded its audience. Since 2001 he had worked as a project coordinator in Gleb Pavlovskii Effective Policy Foundation, and held the position of the Editor-in-Chief in the political expert network of Kreml.org (Moscow, Russia). After moving to Kiev in 2003 Ihor Huzhva had headed the editorial office of «Segodnya» newspaper. Under his leadership the publication has opened regional offices in all million-cities of Ukraine, introduced some significant changes into its editorial policy resulting into «Segodnya’s» undisputed leadership among national daily print media.
