XIX International PR Festival to Take Place under the Slogan "Brave New World" on April 22
Premier Palace Hotel will traditionally bring together the speakers and guests of the event, but the number of offline participants will be limited due to the quarantine measures. In addition, it is planned to livestream the entire 2021 Festival. It can be viewed by an unlimited number of people who — for one reason or another — are not able or are afraid to visit the event.
XIX International PR Festival will be held under the slogan "Brave New World". Olena Derevianko, the Head of the Organizing Committee and the Vice President of the Ukrainian PR-League, has commented on the leitmotif of the program: "At each and every Festival, we are constantly talking about the innovations, change management, trends and turbulence of the business environment. In 2020, the pandemic, however, has accelerated the technological revolution and the atomization of society so much that we can really see a turning point in human history. Therefore, at 2021 Festival, we will try to go over all the aspects of the deepest economic, political/geopolitical, technological and psychological transformations in order to understand how this has impacted and will impact the reputation management of companies, product brands and personalities. At the same time, we will not see "political PR" as a separate thing, although there were such plans some time ago. Today, the current discourse is not conducive to this, so we will confine the topic to business."
The program includes the discussions of the following topics in addition to those listed in the comments made by Olena Derevianko:
-
Reputation management in the pandenomics environment: trends and insights
-
Media landscape in 2021 and role of media relations in PR
-
Social polarization and conflicting brands: how to communicate with ideological opponents
-
SMM and social media algorithms: what has changed and what will change
-
Enticing digital copywriting
-
Protecting brands from bogus stories
-
Internal communication and emotionally unstable employees
-
Deep fakes: peaceful tool and information weapon
-
Modern trends in visual identification (infographics, photos, videos, etc.)
-
Engaging influencers
-
Evolution of PR metrics
-
Cybersecurity and PR
-
Other
Offline participation costs UAH 2,800.00. Olena Derevianko has noted: "The Organizing Committee is extremely concerned that three times fewer people will be able to attend the event directly than usual, namely no more than 70. Therefore, those who cannot imagine their spring without the Festival, we are asking to be early birds in terms of the registration fee. We are afraid that, given the low offline quota at the usual registration rate, there will be no seats left by mid-March. However, there is also good news: we will stream the Festival at more than a loyal cost — UAH 99.00. Therefore, all interested people will be able to enjoy the content. Mainly, offline participants can be envied for the opportunity to immerse themselves into our usual vibrant and at the same time sincere atmosphere."
As for the awarding of winners of the VII National Rating of Corporate Reputation Management Quality "Reputation ACTIVists", which is traditional for the International PR Festival, this year the Organizing Committee definitely plans to award the offline winners of functional nominations. Otherwise, the format will be determined closer to the date.
